Meet The Team

President

Soumik Das

Soumik is a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate working with Dr. Thomas Hamann in the Department of Chemistry. Soumik is investigating photoelectrochemical oxygen evolution reactions on semiconducting materials.

Aside from his research, Soumik likes to participate in outdoor activities and enjoys reading about finance and archeology.

Secretary & Director of Internal Affairs

Kerrington Curl

Kerrington is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in the department of Human Resources and Labor Relations. Her research aims to identify gaps between legislative intent and on-the-ground realities.

Outside of the office, Kerrington enjoys reading fiction novels, and hiking.

Treasurer

Kunwei Yang

Kunwei is completing her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry under the guidance of Dr. Warren Beck in the Department of Chemistry. Her research focuses on using femtosecond two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy (2DES) to observe ultrafast photophysical and photochemical processes in photosynthesis and nanomaterials.

 

In her free time, Kunwei enjoys painting, making pottery, and attending musicals.

Director of Outreach

Ebenezar Okoyeocha

Ebenezar (Eben) is a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Eben is interested in how the eye works, especially the cornea.  He studies the effects of chloropicrin, a chemical warfare agent and pesticide, on the eye. Also, his research would identify and test the efficacy of therapies to treat chloropicrin induced ocular injury as a part of the NIH CounterACT program.

 

When not doing science, you can find him playing soccer, spending time with family, or exploring unforgettable places in Michigan.

Faculty Advisor

Dr. Adrian Choo

Dr. Choo is a faculty member of the Supply Chain Management department. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Science in Physics, and a Master of Science in Management from National University of Singapore.

Dr. Choo's current research focuses on learning and innovation in supply chain and operations management.
